Tea Rose Halter Top
Tämän kevään Interweave Knitsissä oli useampi neule, joista pidin ja Tea Rose Halter Top on yksi niistä. Minua kiehtoi ajatus paksusta neuleesta, jossa on kepeä pitsikuvio. Anttilassa törmäsin tarjous-bambuihin ja päätin toteuttaa neuleen siitä.
I like several sweaters in the spring 2007 issue of Interweave Knits and Tea Rose Halter Top is one of them. I liked the idea of a thick sweater with a breezy lace pattern. I found some bamboo yarn on sale and decided to try that.
Istuvan t-paidan lisäksi tämä näyttää kivalta yksinkertaisen topin päällä, mutta aamulla oli aivan liian kylmä sellaiselle. Parvekkeella oli kuvaushetkellä hurjat 3 astetta lämmintä.
In addition to fitted t-shirts, I'll probably wear this with tank tops. However, I did not dare going out in a tank top this morning, the temperature was below 40 when these pictures were taken.
Itse neulonta ei sujunut ongelmitta: pitsikuvio neljällä langalla ja haloilla ei ole herkkua. Lisäksi yläosasta tuli kaksi kertaa aivan liian väljä, joten purin ja neuloin, purin ja neuloin... Mutta lopputulos on mielestäni kiva.
The knitting itself didn't go without problems: lace knitting with four strands of yarn and super-sized needles is no fun. I made the top part way too big twice so this was basically just ripping and knitting, ripping and knitting. But I like the way it turned out.

Mikäs neulekone susta on tullut? Toppi on kiva ja erilainen.
Näin tämän teetopin aamulla Reunasilmukan blogissa ja mietin, että voisko tän tehdä Novitan bambusta...no, näemmä voi :D
Toppi on kyllä tosi hieno ja ruskea väri sopii siihen mainiosti.
